If you love Monopoly but have ever wished it were a little less Boardwalk, a little more Gatlinburg, I have good news. Monopoly: The Great Smoky Mountains Edition is headed your way in spring 2027.
Out with the famous Atlantic City squares and in with places that make your Smoky Mountains–loving heart sing (or banjo play)—and you can help decide what makes the board.
“In an effort to make the game as authentic as possible, we invite those who love this community to help us by nominating their favorite businesses, things, and places they’d like to see featured,” said Tim Barney of Top Trumps USA, the American division of Winning Moves International and a licensing partner of Hasbro.
So what will it be—the majestic natural beauty of Cades Cove? The Grist Mill at Dollywood, where that delicious, delicious cinnamon bread comes from? Country Living’s editor-in-chief Rachel Hardage Barrett is personally putting in a bid for Hillbilly Golf. (A mountainside miniature course that starts with a rail ride to the top—it’s a must!)
If you need help sparking ideas, pull out your family vacation photos and take a trip down memory lane. Think about your favorite local landmark, snack spot, shop, sports team, media outlet, cultural institution, event or festival, or neighborhood.
Places, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations are all fair game—just be sure to submit nominations by Tuesday, June 30, 2026. And the sooner, the better. Submit your ideas at us.toptrumps.com/Smokies or email Smokies@TopTrumps.com for consideration.
