- ‘Dutton Ranch’ premieres on May 15.
- The ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff stars Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Annette Bening, and Ed Harris.
- Country singer Morgan Wade will be a series regular.
Dutton Ranch is mere weeks away, and it seems with every passing day, a new tidbit about the highly anticipated series rises to the surface. The latest? Country singer Morgan Wade is joining the cast.
On Tuesday, April 21, Deadline revealed that the “Wilder Days” singer will be joining the Beth and Rip spin-off this May. The Virginia native landed the recurring role of Carol, a bartender who slings drinks in the fictional town of Rio Paloma, Texas—and her followers can hardly contain their excitement for the epic country crossover.
“OMG, there is another subscription I have to pay for. Dammit,” one person joked on Morgan’s Instagram announcement. “Excited doesn’t begin to explain… if this isn’t perfect casting, I don’t know what is,” someone else commented. “So excited for you and us! Can't wait,” another fan chimed in.
Of course, Morgan isn’t the first country star to join the Yellowstone universe. Let us not forget that Lainey Wilson and Ryan Bingham had recurring roles in the OG series, and Luke Grimes gave such a stellar five-season performance that he landed his very own spin-off, Marshals—a show that added Riley Green to the cast just this month.
Morgan joins Dutton Ranch alongside Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Finn Little, as well as newcomers Annette Bening and Ed Harris. The series follows Beth and Rip as they build a new life in Texas with Carter. Based on the official teaser trailer, the series is bound to be explosively entertaining. Fortunately for fans, Dutton Ranch debuts with a two-hour premiere on Friday, May 15, on Paramount+.
