Rice Krispie treats are a smart treat for a party: They're easy to make and they fly off the plate.

To make the batch a little more seasonal, we recommend mixing in some classic Halloween candy. Candy corn is classic but Reese's Pieces, pumpkin candies, or sugar skulls also look great.

Whatever you use, it's a simple addition that doesn't overcomplicate the recipe with messy food coloring, melted chocolate, or time-consuming decorations. Instead, it sticks to what makes the treat so great: besides being incredibly delicious, it's so simple that if you've got 30 spare minutes and the ingredients on hand (you probably do) you can whip up a batch.

Want to make it even more tasty? Try this super-easy trick: We highly recommend browning the butter before stirring in the other ingredients. It adds such a rich, nutty flavor that you'll never make it any other way again.
