Well-sized gardens are likely to be on the wish list for many buyers, but which area in the UK will give you the most outdoor space for your money?

According to new research conducted by ConservatoryLand, the coastal town of Poole is the best spot to move to, with the average house having around 490 square metres of glorious green space. If you're looking to make the move to the sea, then this could be the place for you.

Dundee in Scotland came second, where residents will receive around 249 square metres of garden space for a property costing £179,000. In third and fourth spots, respectively, came Cambridge (235) and Slough (229), both offering great lawn space.

On the other hand, it's no surprise to see Brighton and London at the bottom of the list. Offering just 23 square metres of garden per house, Brighton ranks the lowest with property prices averaging around £388,000 – some of the highest across the UK. London might be filled with culture and buzz, but with just 35 square metres of garden, you really won't get much for your money.

Bournemouth also made the list

"For many UK residents, the need for garden space is high on a list of must-haves for a new home," ConservatoryLand say. "Whether it's to entertain guests, grow a dream flower garden or provide space for outdoor exercise, it proves to be important in a variety of ways."
