When visiting the vet, do you ever feel scared that they will judge the way you care for your pet? A new study, conducted by Legal & General, has revealed that one in four dog owners would say yes.

While it's natural to feel nervous when taking a beloved pet to the vet, more Brits than ever before have admitted they feel dogged by guilt when they discuss how they take care of their dogs and cats — and feel they aren't doing enough.

But is there any truth in this?

The study also revealed that 40% of dog owners and 30% of cat owners don't realise when their pet is overweight or obese, with others admitted to feeling guilty about leaving their beloved animal at home for longer than seven hours.
