The Voice Season 30 is bound to be one for the books! While there are sure to be countless jaw-dropping and tear-jerking performances, two new judges will also be joining the lineup, including one of country’s own!
On Sunday, May 10, ahead of NBC’s official announcement on Tuesday, May 12, Riley Green took to Instagram to share the big news. “I guess y’all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall,” the 37-year-old singer captioned a carousel of photos.
As much as The Voice viewers love John Legend, they’re thrilled that Riley will be taking his place on the show and filling the country music gap. “Singer, actor, coach,” someone applauded on Riley’s post. “I guess I watch The Voice now,” another Instagrammer commented. “Looks like I'll start watching The Voice again,” someone else exclaimed. “Hope The Voice has medics on stand by, gonna be a lotta faintin goin on,” another Instagrammer joked.
Riley isn’t the only newcomer to Season 30, which will feature alums Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson. Queen Latifah will also be filling one of the iconic big red chairs.
This latest development marks yet another milestone moment for Riley, who has had nothing short of a stellar year, both within and outside of the country music industry. From kicking off his Cowboy As It Gets Tour and performing with Lainey Wilson at Stagecoach (after his own highly anticipated set was cancelled due to high winds) to landing his first television role on the CBS Yellowstone spinoff, Marshals, Riley is booked and busy in 2026.
