While the ‘big light’ can be controversial topic – with many instead favouring smaller, cosier lamp options – there’s no reason it still can’t look the part (even if you prefer not to turn it on).

Available for £100, the light features a cream fabric shade with textured pleats and a central metal stud, as well as a heavy-duty hanging chain.
Shoppers have also been quick to notice that it bears a striking resemblance to a Soho Home Aldwin Pendant, which retails for nearly £800.
The M&S lookalike lamp is nearly £700 cheaper but delivers the same elegant, vintage-style effect – largely thanks to its Art Deco-esque bowl shape and brass detailing.

It also comes with glowing reviews. One person states their purchase has an “elegant, high-end look" and "it creates a lovely soft, warm glow in the room.”
While another adds: “One of the chicest lights I’ve seen. Giving Soho vibes without the price tag. Gives off such a warm glow. Stunning all round.”
Another also made the Soho Home comparison, adding: “I have been waiting forever for this to come back into stock! It’s a dupe for a Soho Home light which is £800! However I think this light looks better especially with the brass details.”
Someone else offered up a styling tip, stating they’d bought three to use above their kitchen island set-up. A few reviews also note that the colour of the lampshade has more of a peachy tone to it, rather than the creamy beige in the picture.
