The sun may be on full blast, but John Lewis already has us daydreaming about crispy autumn leaves and cosying up our homes for the colder months.
The beloved British retailer has unveiled its autumn/winter 2026 home collection, and this year's offering continues its dedication to two enduring styles over fleeting trends: Scandi and Heritage.
We popped along to their press preview and were wowed by the quality. Sculptural milk-glass pendants, beautifully pleated upholstery, embroidered textiles, dark wood furniture and a fresh, nature-inspired palette of buttercup yellow, forest green, chocolate brown and sky blue have made this collection a knockout.
With something for every home, the ranges balance soft contemporary minimalism with classic country house elegance. Both looks are tied together with rich natural materials, evident craftsmanship and what John Lewis calls its biggest lighting launch yet.
Here's everything we're adding to our wish list before products land in August...
1. Scandi
Inspired by Scandinavian design, the Scandi collection swaps the stark minimalism popular in the 2010s for something softer (and, we reckon, cooler).
Curved silhouettes, tactile woods and rounded lighting are paired with an irresistible palette of dusty blues, creamy neutrals, rich burgundy and butter yellow to create spaces that feel luxurious – without veering into beige.
Our favourites include the curved, sky blue Dimple sofa, the beautifully rounded Tambour sideboard, and the playful and pleasing Lule tableware collection, which introduces colours and shapes inspired by iconic Scandi designs.
Sculptural lighting steals the show too, particularly the soft paper-like Merluna pendant, the striking Pumpkin lamps, and the mushroom-inspired table lamps that appear throughout the collection – one of the brand's bestselling (and most affordable) designs.
Rather than embracing minimalism for minimalism's sake, these rooms epitomise the sort of understated decorating that's made Scandinavian interiors so enduring.

2. Heritage
Drawing inspiration from traditional craftsmanship, this collection embraces upholstery, embroidered fabrics, hand-finished designs, rich walnut furniture and heritage colours including ochre, racing green and deep navy. Rather than feeling overtly traditional, however, every piece is designed with modern homes in mind.
The beautifully pleated Oxford sofa is an instant hero piece, while the fluted Elder dining table with its handsome pedestal legs and coordinating dining chairs (above) give classic entertaining spaces a refined update.
Elsewhere you'll find painterly florals, ruffled linen tablecloths, velvet curtains and decorative lighting that wouldn't look out of place in a country manor. Look out for its growing quilt collection, too, for a sprinkling of folkish fun (above).

One trend we're predicting...
If there's one category set to dominate this autumn, it's statement lighting.
John Lewis has invested heavily in lighting for AW26, introducing everything from fluid milk-glass pendants to pleated paper-effect shades, marble bases and sculptural wooden designs. Indeed, the collection proves a single standout pendant or table lamp can elevate an entire room — something we'll likely be seeing much more of over the coming months.
By honing in on two popular themes in such detail, John Lewis has shown exciting new designs don't have to fuel trend-led consumption. Sometimes, it's just about nailing the styles and pieces people simply love to live with.
