Much-loved wildlife programme, Springwatch, will return to our screens on Monday 26th May 2025 for a three-week run on BBC Two, bringing the joy and wonder of UK wildlife and habitats into our homes.

The presenters – Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Iolo Williams – will be heading off to multiple locations around the UK, exploring varied landscapes and ecosystems.

This year, the team will be celebrating Springwatch's 20th anniversary. Here's everything we know about the new series so far.

When will Springwatch 2025 be on?

Springwatch 2025 returns to BBC Two on Monday 26th May for three weeks of live programmes.

They'll be broadcasting live from Monday 26th May – Thursday 29th May (8pm). While the details of the rest of the episodes are yet to be announced, we expect we might see Springwatch on our screens on Monday 2nd June – Thursday 5th June (8 pm) and Monday 9th June – Thursday 12th June (8 pm) too.

    Who will present Springwatch?

Springwatch 2025 will be presented by Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Iolo Williams.

In addition to the live broadcasts, there will be a number of pre-recorded films from other contributors, shining a light on the work and dedication of the people working together to help the environment and wildlife across the UK.

Mindfulness Moments will also return to every programme. In each programme, there'll be a 90-second film of pure nature. No music, no presenter voice-over, just natural sound and glorious pictures to immerse us in nature.

    Where is Springwatch 2025 filmed?

Springwatch 2025 is back with two new locations for its 20th year anniversary, both of which are yet to be announced.

So far, we know Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Iolo Williams will be joined by Megan McCubbin at Haddon Hall. The series will also see Chris and Michaela reveal more wildlife wonders at Longshaw Estate.

Michaela took to social media to reveal the launch date of the new series and promised fans the new locations would be revealed very soon.

In the post, Michaela wrote: "Are you ready for @BBCSpringwatch 2025? We'll be celebrating our 20th Anniversary this year. Can you believe it? 2 decades of highlighting the very best of British Wildlife. Series starts May 26th with me, @ChrisGPackham & @IoloWilliams2 at a new location which we will reveal soon!"

Springwatch starts on Monday 26th May at 8pm on BBC Two.
